our time is coming
People really need to spend their time and energy on things more productive than hating Taylor Swift.

I get it,
“She’s too average.”
“Nothing spectacular.”
“All she talks about is boys. Boys aren’t everything!”
“She can’t sing.”
“She’s ugly.”
“She’s only popular because of Kanye West.”
“All of her songs sound the same.”
People bash her constantly. But they’re wasting their time. Because if there’s one thing this girl has showed us all, it’s that she doesn’t give up.

You don’t have to love Taylor Swift. You don’t have to love her music. You don’t have to love what she stands for. But she gets people through some pretty tough times. She’s reached out to so many people. You’ve gotta respect her for that. You’ve gotta respect the fact that she’s been hurt again and again and again, but she won’t ever stop falling.

She inspires me to get up and keep trying. Every day. She reminds me that you can’t ever give up. On love, especially. It’s out there. I’ve seen it, I’ve felt it, and it ended shitty. And there’s people out there who yell at me for being petty, naive, and ridiculous. People think heartbreak is so common that people should just get the hell over it. But those people just don’t get it. It’s hard. By far one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. But even though love seems pointless and worthless 90% of the time, you can’t give up on it. Sometimes you think you’re strong giving up on it, because humans want to fall in love. It’s in our nature. You think if you give up on it, you’re being strong. Going against what you want, you know? But that’s not the case. You’re strong if you don’t give up.
